- Travel Photography
Sensing interconnectedness and getting perspective, appreciating the beauty of the place, where we all live, noticing how small we are with our weird issues, ideas and conflicts…”Crossing colours, landscapes, borders and time” is a selection of digital photos taken within last few years during extensive travels by planes and pictures taken with an old analogue photo-camera from my childhood while sailing on the merchant navy boats with my father. For me taking those pictures acts as reminder about our human vulnerability within the vastness of nature, but at the same time our collective intelligence to be able to persevere despite various weather conditions, state of soil and water or construction of a landscape. It is also looking at the art created and shaped by climate, elements, geological situation, time and transitions in biodiversity.
The first album is a record of a journey from The Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Algeria, Morocco and finally Europe, in winter 2014.
